How "Name Your Price" Works
Updated this week

"Name Your Price" is a flexible payment option in Heartbeat that lets you set a minimum price while giving your members the freedom to pay more if they want. It’s a great way to offer pay-what-you-can pricing, accept donations, or let supporters contribute at a level that feels right for them.

How to Set Up "Name Your Price"

1. Go to Heartbeat Payments

Head over to Settings > Payments in your Heartbeat dashboard.

2. Create or Edit an Offer

Pick an existing offer or create a new one. Under Pricing, select Name Your Price.

If you want to give an option for your members to name their price, toggle on Allow Members to Name their Price option. The minimum price and suggested price will appear.

The minimum price can be set to zero if you want your members to have the offer for free, but you can set a separate price as well for the suggested price.

3. Save and Publish

Once everything looks good, hit Save and publish the offer. Now, when members check out, they'll see the option to choose how much to pay.

What Members See When Using "Name Your Price"

When you send the sign-up offer to members, and they finish adding their email address, they will see an input field to enter what they want to pay. If you’ve set a suggested price, it’ll be pre-filled, but they can change it.
