How to Add a Terms of Service to All Your Checkout Pages

If you’re collecting payments in Heartbeat, it’s important to include a clear Terms of Service for your members to accept before completing their purchase. Here’s how to do it:

✅ Step 1: Create a Terms of Service Document

  1. Go to the Documents tab in your left sidebar

  2. Create a new document (we recommend placing it in your default Resources section)

  3. Title it something like Terms of Service

  4. Add all your legal language into the editor and hit Save

✅ Step 2: Add the Document to Your Payment Pages

  1. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of your community

  2. In the left sidebar, go to Configure Payments

  3. Scroll to the section labeled Terms of Service

  4. Toggle Require Terms of Service on checkout pages to ON

  5. Select the document you just created from the dropdown list

✅ Step 3: Preview the Terms on Your Offer Page

  • Go to Offers in your Settings

  • Copy any offer’s signup page link and open it in a new tab

  • On the checkout screen, you’ll now see your Terms of Service linked below the "Purchase" button
