How to access promo codes in Heartbeat

1. Access Payments

How to: Go to Settings > Payments > Configure Payments

2. Click on "Manage Promo Codes" 

This will open the promo codes modal in Heartbeat. 

Creating a Promo Code in Heartbeat

1. Go to Settings > Payments > Configure Payments and click on "Manage Promo Codes"

2. Click the 'New Promo Code' button.

3. Fill out the fields:

   • Name: A descriptive name for the coupon.

   • Promo Code: A unique, customer-facing, code for redemption on checkout.

   • Discount: Choose between a percentage or a fixed amount in one of the following currencies: USD, CAD, or EUR. 

   • Usage Limit (optional): Set a limit on how many times this code can be used on an offer. 

   • Duration (optional): Select whether the code is valid for a single use, a set number of months, or forever.

   • Expiration Date (optional): Set an expiration date for the code.

   • Applicable Offers: Choose the offer/s that this code can be applied to. 

4. Click Save to finalize your promo code. Then, click to view the details and copy the 'Promo code' for sharing. 

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I track the usage of my promo codes?

You can track the usage of promo codes directly from Heartbeat by clicking on 'Manage Promo Codes' and viewing the popup modal. 

If I create my promo code in Stripe directly will it show up in Heartbeat?

You can still create coupons directly through your Stripe account. Coupons created this way will automatically sync with Heartbeat and vice-versa, giving you more options to create promotions for your members.

Can I create multiple promo codes at once?

Currently, promo codes need to be created one at a time, but you can create multiple codes as needed. Clicking on the 3-dot menu offers the option to duplicate an existing promo code. 

Is there a limit to the number of promo codes I can create?

There is no limit to the number of promo codes you can create with Heartbeat Payments.

Can I edit a promo code?

Editing is limited to renaming your code. Click on the 3 dot-menu to the right of the promo code and select "Rename".

Can I delete a promo code?

You can only deactivate it. Click on the 3-dot menu to do this.
