How Protected Event Links Work

Link Masking: Each of your event links (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.) will be replaced with a link that looks like "

Authentication Check: When a user clicks on the link, Heartbeat does a check to ensure their user account has access to the event.

An added benefit is that even if you change the Zoom link at the last minute, your members can still access the event using the redirect.
When Heartbeat sends event invites via email, protected links are used to prevent removed users from accessing old event links. However, community members on your event page will see the direct link to the event and not the protected link since the platform knows they have access to your community or the event.
