How can we help?

Import and Migrate Existing Stripe Subscriptions to Heartbeat Payments

  • Updated

If you have an existing Stripe account with active member subscriptions and you want to transfer them to a Heartbeat-managed Stripe business, Heartbeat provides a free payment migration service

How can I migrate customers to Heartbeat?

To access the migration tool, go to Settings > Payments > Import Subscriptions and press "Start Migration"

Platform & Data

The first step is to upload your subscription CSV file. You can obtain this file by going to your current Stripe account, go to Subscriptions and press the "Export" button to generate your file.

Column Mapping

This step allows you to match the fields in your CSV file to the corresponding fields in Heartbeat. Look out for any duplicate entries under "Preview".

Offer Mapping

Here, you'll match your legacy Stripe products to your existing Heartbeat Offers. If you have yet to create an Offer, please check this guide.

Customer Copy

Then, you'll be able to transfer over customer payment data from your existing Stripe account to Heartbeat. You can opt to only copy existing subscriptions or your entire customer base.

How can I copy only select existing customers to Heartbeat?

If you have a lot of existing customers that you don't want to copy over, you can either:

  • manually select each customer from your list
  • export your customer list so you can edit it until a curated file that you can then use on this step

On the walkthrough below, we have a full tutorial that covers both methods for transferring customers into Heartbeat.
