Upsells are available when creating a paid product. You can define which group(s) will have access to the content (channels, events, resources, and courses) offered by the product.

A member who is not part of the group(s) will see a padlock and preview.

Once the group(s) exists, then you can limit access to the channels, courses, or content you wish by using the group(s).

Even though the guide says the channel will be private, it means that only those with permission can see the content. Others will see a padlock and the message that you created in the Group Setup Options.
