If you want to remove a channel category from your community sidebar, you’ll first need to move or delete all of the channels inside that category.

Here's how to do it:

1. Move or delete all channels inside the category

   • You can drag each channel into a different category (How-to article here)

   • Or, if the channels are no longer needed, delete them from the channel settings

   • You can’t delete a category if it still has channels inside it

2. Hover over the category name
   Move your mouse over the category name in the left sidebar. You’ll see a ⋯ three-dot menu appear to the right.

3. Click the three-dot menu and select “Delete Category”
   Once all channels are removed, click the three dots and then “Delete Category” to permanently remove it.

Why would you want to delete a category?

• You’re consolidating channels and want a cleaner sidebar

• You’re retiring an old program, cohort, or content type

• You want to reorganize and start fresh with a better structure
