Connect your Google Calendar to Heartbeat
Sync your Heartbeat events to Google Calendar so members automatically receive calendar invites when new events are created.
This integration is for admins only. Members cannot connect Google Calendar through Heartbeat – invites are sent to them automatically when you publish events.
Settings > Automation > Integrations
- Go to Settings > Automation > Integrations.
- Click Sign in with Google.
- Complete the OAuth flow in the new window that opens.
Once connected, any event you create in Heartbeat will automatically sync to your Google Calendar and send calendar invites to members.
How syncing works
Google Calendar requires email notifications to be enabled. If your notifications are set to "None", Events will not automatically be added to the calendar.
| Direction | Syncs? |
|---|---|
| Heartbeat → Google Calendar | ✅ Yes – events sync automatically |
| Google Calendar → Heartbeat | ❌ No – events created in Google Calendar won't appear in Heartbeat |
FAQ
Can my members connect their own Google Calendar? No. The Google Calendar integration is only available to admins. Members receive calendar invites automatically when events are created – they don't need to connect anything.
What happens when I create an Event in Heartbeat? The Event syncs to your connected Google Calendar, and Heartbeat sends calendar invites to members on your behalf.
Can I manage Events from Google Calendar? You can view synced Events there, but any edits should be made in Heartbeat. Changes made directly in Google Calendar won't reflect back in Heartbeat.
