How Can Members Update Their Payment Information?

If a member asks how to update their credit card, change plans, or download receipts, here’s exactly what they need to do — you can copy and send these instructions directly to them.

This article is admin-facing but written to help you support members faster when they ask about billing and subscription settings.

🔧 Where Members Can Update Payment Info

Members can update payment information at any time from their own Settings page.

Here’s what to tell them:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of your Heartbeat community.
  2. Select Billing from the left sidebar.
  3. You’ll see your current payment method, and a link to update it.

📋 What Members Can Do on Their Billing Page

From that screen, they’ll be able to:

  • Update their credit card

  • 🔄 Switch plans

    • From monthly to annual

    • From annual to monthly

  • 🧾 Download receipts

  • Cancel their subscription

🔐 Note: Members will only see options relevant to their subscription — not the full admin billing dashboard.
