How to Create a Poll in a Post (Threads Channels)

  • Updated

You can add simple, fast polls to any thread post to collect votes, feedback, or quick sentiment from your community.

How to Add a Poll

  1. Start a new post in any thread channel.

  2. Click the poll icon — it’s located to the right of the </> embed icon and just left of the paperclip.

  3. Add your poll question and up to 5 answer options.

  4. To add more choices, click the plus (+) icon to the right of the last option.

  5. (Optional) Toggle on Anonymous Poll in the bottom left if you don’t want votes tied to member names.

  6. Click Post to publish the thread with your poll.

How to View Poll Results

To see results, click on View Responses below the poll. If it's not anonymous, you'll see who voted for each option.

Why Use Polls in Your Community?

Polls are lightweight but powerful. Popular ways to use them include:

  • Taking a quick pulse on community topics

  • Getting feedback on what content to create next

  • Letting members vote on meetup times or events

  • Collecting insights without needing full discussion threads

  • Making onboarding feel interactive (e.g. “What’s your biggest challenge?”)

Polls keep your community engaged and give everyone a voice — even the quieter members.
