How to save a thread to a Resource

  • Updated

Admins and moderators can turn a thread into a document. Click the three-dot menu to the right of the thread, then click Save.

  1. A window opens titled Save thread as a document. The Resource dropdown lists your Resources, so pick the one the document should go into.

  2. Give it a title and click Save. It appears in that Resource straight away.

Comments on the original thread carry over to the saved document. Tagged content, meaning anything with a @ or $ tag, stops linking back to what it referenced.

Access follows the Resource, not the document. If you save a thread from a public channel into a members-only Resource, it becomes members-only. Check where it is going before you save.

You cannot choose a folder here. The document lands in the Resource and can be moved afterwards from its three-dot menu using Move.

Good for: book recommendations, recipes, reference answers you keep retyping.
