Heartbeat makes it easy to send calendar invites when you create events — either automatically or based on RSVP.
Step-by-Step: Sending Calendar Invites

Go to the Events tab in your community.

Click Create Event and fill in the event details.

Choose your invite audience.

On the final step, under Notification Settings, choose your email option:
Here’s how each option works:

Heavy
Sends an email to all invitees with an .ICS calendar file attached
→ Automatically books the event on members’ calendars (Google, Outlook, Apple, etc.) -
Medium
Sends an email without a calendar file
→ Calendar invite is only sent after the member RSVPs -
None
No email is sent
→ Calendar invite will still be sent if/when a member RSVPs manually in Heartbeat
Use Heavy for required or time-sensitive events (like live cohort sessions). Use Medium for casual, drop-in style events.
Optional: Add Event Reminders
Before you publish the event, you can:

Add push notifications (web, iOS, Android)

Schedule reminder emails
These help boost attendance and keep your event top-of-mind.
