The Weekly Digest is a fully automated, personalized summary of everything important happening in your community — emailed straight to each member's inbox.
No setup beyond turning it on. No manual curation. Just a powerful, set-it-and-forget-it way to keep your community engaged and informed.
Here’s how it works:
Aggregated & Personalized: Each member gets their own digest — tailored to what they’ve missed and what they have access to.
Everything in One Place: It includes top threads, upcoming events, unread DMs, @mentions, new documents, and recently joined members.
Priority Order: Digest items are ranked by urgency — events come first, followed by threads, mentions, etc.
Access-Based Content: Members only see content from spaces or groups they have access to. That means no leaks between free and paid content — everything stays cleanly separated.
Timezone-Aware Delivery: You choose the day and time it sends. We'll handle the rest and make sure it's delivered in each member’s local timezone.
Weekly Digest Delivery Rules
Once enabled, the Weekly Digest goes to every member in your community. Admins can’t send it to only a subset. Individual members can turn it off for themselves at Settings > Account > Notifications.
That said, personalization ensures a smooth experience across access levels:
If your community has free and paid tiers, both groups receive digests.
Each person only sees content they can access — no crossover between separate access groups.
Private spaces and access groups? Those show up only for the folks included in them.
Where to set the day and time
Go to Settings > Community > General and find Weekly digest under Member defaults. Switching it on reveals Digest schedule, where you choose the day and hour. The time is applied in each member's own timezone.
Turn it off
Same place. Switch Weekly digest off and save.
Members can turn it off for themselves at Settings > Account > Notifications without affecting anyone else.
Check what's going out
Select Preview next to the schedule to see the digest as it would be built right now. There's no per-member delivery report.
Why a member might not get one
The digest is personalized, so some members receive one in a week when others don't. A member is skipped when:
- They turned the weekly digest off in their own notification settings.
- Their access has lapsed. Members behind a paywall don't receive it.
- Nothing they have access to changed that week.
- They already received one in the last five days. Moving the send day forward can skip a week for everyone.
Use the Weekly Digest to keep inactive or less engaged members in the loop — it’s one of the easiest ways to re-engage your community every week.
