After you share your Sign Up Page or invite individual users via email, they will not always become immediately active in your community. Below, we cover the 4 separate states a member can be in and what you can do to move them along in their journey.

Email Submitted

Where they are: Started signup but didn't finish

They clicked your invite link and entered their email, but got distracted or decided to think it over. If there's a payment required, they haven't paid yet.

Next step: They can return to the same invite link anytime to continue where they left off.

Paid, Onboarding Incomplete

Where they are: Payment made, account setup pending

They've paid but haven't finished creating their profile and account. Their payment is safely held and will be linked to their account when they complete signup using the same email.

Next step: Use the original invite link to finish account creation.

Awaiting First Login

Where they are: Account created, verification needed

Onboarding complete! They've set everything up but haven't logged into the community yet. Their first login verifies their identity.

Next step: Log in for the first time to become a full member.

Active 🎉

Where they are: Full member access

They're in! They can post, engage, and access everything your community offers. Their subscription or membership is active.
