How to Transfer a Member's Subscription to a Different Offer

Transferring a subscription allows you to move a member from one Offer to another without canceling their existing subscription.

When to Use Transfers

Use transfers when you want to move a member's subscription to a different Offer. This is different from updating the price on an existing Offer, which affects all members on that Offer.

Common use cases:

  • Moving a member from one membership tier to another
  • Migrating members to a restructured Offer
  • Adjusting a single member's access without affecting others

How to Transfer a Member Between Tiers

Go to Settings > Payments > Offers and locate the member you want to change to a new Offer or tier and press the 3-dot menu. Then, select "Transfer":

From here, you can opt to either retain the member's existing price point on the new Offer or change their pricing to match the tier they are being moved to. 

On this screen, you'll also have the option to email members about changes - while not mandatory, it can serve as an important touchpoint to ensure members are aware of pricing updates.

To finalize, click "Transfer Purchase" and your member will now be attached to your new Offer.

Each subscription is tied to a specific Offer. The transfer process changes which Offer manages the subscription, allowing you to modify access and pricing on an individual basis without affecting other members.

If you need to update pricing for all members on an Offer, update the Offer pricing directly instead of transferring subscriptions individually.
