Understanding which members count toward your plan's member limit helps you manage your community effectively and avoid unexpected billing changes.
Member Types and Plan Limits
| Member Type | Counts Toward Limit? |
|---|---|

| Pending members (invited but not onboarded) | ✅ Yes |
| Admin and moderator accounts | ✅ Yes |
| Deactivated members | ❌ No |

Checking Your Current Member Count
To see how many members count toward your limit:
- Go to Settings > Admin Settings > Billing
- Your current member count is displayed under your plan details
On the Starter plan, you can have up to 1,000 active and pending members. Once you exceed this limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade to a higher plan.
Managing Your Member Count
If you're approaching your member limit, you can:
- Deactivate inactive members - Go to Manage Members, select inactive members, and choose "Deactivate" from bulk actions
- Remove pending members who never onboarded - Filter for "Pending" status and deactivate members who haven't completed signup
Deactivating members removes their access to your community but preserves their content and data in case you want to reactivate them later.
