How can I edit content in Pages?

Everything on a Page is editable. There are two ways to make changes:

  • Left-click – edit text, buttons, images, and videos directly, without Pulse.
  • Right-click – open Pulse for bigger changes: design, layout, adding or removing sections, and motion.

Edit directly with left-click

Hover over any element and it highlights. Left-click to edit it in place.

  1. Edit text – Left-click a heading, paragraph, or button, type your change, and confirm. The page updates instantly.
  2. Swap an image – Left-click an image to reuse one you’ve uploaded before, or choose Stock Photos, search a term, and select an image.
  3. Add a video – Left-click a video slot to upload a video or select one you’ve already uploaded. Only native (uploaded) video is supported – YouTube, Vimeo, and Loom embeds are not currently available in Pages.

Make bigger changes with right-click (Pulse)

For anything beyond editing existing content – changing the design, adding a section, removing a section, or adding motion – right-click the area you want to change. Pulse opens next to it, and you describe what you want.

Examples:

  • “Make this button green.”
  • “Add a section below this for a video.”

Pulse reads the full page, matches its existing design, and implements the change. Each Pulse change creates a new version.

To close the Pulse panel and return to direct editing, click outside it or press Escape.

Tip: Pulse won’t automatically pick up your website’s colors or fonts from a URL. For the best results, describe your brand style directly in your prompt – for example, “use deep navy and gold with a clean sans-serif font.”

Can I revert changes to an earlier version?

Every change is saved as a version. If you don’t like a change – from left-click or Pulse – open the version history and revert to an earlier version.

How can I publish my Page?

Note: Every Page has its own URL. If you built this Page to replace a landing page you previously shared through a Sign Up Link, your old link will not point to the new Page. Update your link wherever you share it (link in bio, social profiles, email signatures, ads) so visitors land on your new Page.

Before publishing, set your page details:

  1. Open the three-dot menu.
  2. Select Edit page information.
  3. Update your slug to make your URL cleaner and more readable.

To publish:

  1. Click Publish. Your page goes live immediately.
  2. Click Preview to see your live URL and how the page looks to visitors.
  3. Share the URL – visitors can sign up for your community from your Page.

FAQ

Is Pages the same as Sign Up Links? No. Pages is your custom landing page. Sign Up Links (previously Sign Up Pages) handle tiers, pricing, and access groups.

Can I make edits after a Page is published? After your page is live, you can keep editing. Changes are staged, not live – your published page won’t change until you click Publish again. Experiment freely and push updates only when you’re ready.

Will my edits go live as soon as I make them? Only before your first publish. Once a page is published, new edits stay staged until you publish again.

Can I undo a change? Yes. Open version history and revert to any previous version.

I shared a link through a Sign Up Link before. Do I need to update it? Yes. Pages have their own URLs, so your new Page won’t take over the old link automatically. Swap the old link for your new Page URL everywhere you’ve shared it. Visitors who use the old link won’t see your new Page.

Can my Page show at my custom domain? Yes. Your Page’s URL follows the format yourcommunity.heartbeat.chat/p/your-slug by default. To serve it at a custom domain, make sure your domain is connected in Settings → Community → Domains and that your Page is set as the default landing page there.

Can I delete a Page? You can archive a Page but not permanently delete it.

The page editor is showing an error and won’t open. What should I do? Try opening version history and reverting to an earlier version – this resolves most editor errors. If the issue persists, reach out to support.
