Pulse is your community's AI assistant, and only admins can see or use it. Members have no access to Pulse at all. You can switch it off for the whole community, or leave it on with less access to member data.
Turn Pulse off
- Go to Settings > System > Pulse.
- Switch off Enable Pulse.
- Select Save.
Limit Pulse instead
With Pulse enabled, you can turn off either of these on the same page:
- Access to member PII, so Pulse can't read member names and email addresses.
- Access to member content, so Pulse can't read posts and messages.
Nothing is deleted when you turn Pulse off
Your custom instructions, Pulse's memories, and past chats are kept, and turning it back on restores them. Memories are only removed if you delete them yourself.

How do I know if it's already off? When Pulse is off, the Access to member PII, Access to member content, and Custom instructions settings disappear from the page.
