For details on how Heartbeat protects your data and community, visit our legal hub at heartbeat.chat/legal.
There you'll find our Data Processing Addendum (DPA), Content Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms & Conditions. These govern how we operate and how your community is protected.
Do I need a cookie consent (GDPR) banner for my community?
Heartbeat communities are private, gated spaces: members create an account and log in before they can see any content. Because there's no anonymous, pre-login browsing on your community pages, the visitor-tracking cookie banners required for public websites generally don't apply inside the community itself. We don't currently offer a native cookie consent banner for community pages.
If your compliance needs are about getting explicit consent before collecting personal data at checkout, you can require members to accept a Terms of Service before completing a purchase. See How to Add a Terms of Service to All Your Checkout Pages.
A native cookie banner for public-facing sales pages is an open feature request. You can upvote it here to get updates if it ships.
This isn't legal advice. If GDPR or another privacy regulation applies to your community, we recommend confirming your specific obligations with your own legal counsel.
