Embedding HTML content directly into threads can enhance your community experience by allowing you to share rich content, such as videos, interactive forms, charts, or any custom HTML content.
Heartbeat currently allows you to upload files up to 10MB. If you have files larger than that, we suggest using the embed feature. For external embeds, Heartbeat uses Iframely. You can preview links directly on Iframely's page here:Β https://iframely.com/embed. If the preview doesn't show successfully on Iframely's page, it may not show up on Heartbeat either.
Locate the Embed Button: Find and click on the embed button (</>
) on the left side of your thread interface.
Insert Content: You can either paste a link to the content you wish to embed or directly input the HTML code.
Here's a list of supported embeds for your Heartbeat community.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Why is my embedded content not displaying correctly?
Why is my embedded content not displaying correctly?
Heartbeat provides limited support for HTML embeds due to the way the embedding process works. When you embed content in Heartbeat, the platform simply creates a space for the embed, and the embed code or URL determines how much space is needed and what content will fill that space. Heartbeat displays the embedded content exactly as instructed by the embed code.
Because of this, any issues with the appearance, functionality, or sizing of the embedded content are generally controlled by the original source of the embed. If you encounter problems with an embed in Heartbeat, you may need to reach out to the software provider of the content you're embedding. They can help investigate and adjust how their embed code is sending information to ensure it displays correctly within Heartbeat.
