Most setup and settings live on desktop. If a button or menu is missing on your phone, that is almost always why. The Heartbeat mobile apps are built for taking part in your community. Creating and configuring it happens in a desktop web browser at app.heartbeat.chat.
Where to do what
| What you are trying to do | Where |
|---|---|
| Read and post in channels, send DMs, join events, take courses, read documents, browse the member directory | Anywhere |
| Cancel or change your subscription, view billing | Desktop only |
| Create or edit an Offer or an Event | Desktop only |
| Role management, permissions, Community Settings | Desktop only |
| Onboarding questions, Matchups configuration, audience targeting | Desktop only |
| API keys, custom domains, affiliate and referral program, admin controls on the member directory | Desktop only |
| Delete a post or comment, post to a read-only channel, view groups when composing a DM | Either |
All configuration, setup and creation happens through a desktop web browser. On mobile, admins can moderate content and see admin prompts such as matchmaking notices and video processing status, but the configuration behind them is desktop only.
Heartbeat on mobile
There is no mobile browser version of Heartbeat, so opening the site on your phone will not get you in. Install the app first: Download the Heartbeat Chat mobile app on iOS and Android.
The apps sign you in with a one-time code rather than a magic link, so tapping a magic link on your phone will not open the app. See I can't login to my Heartbeat account.
