I can't login to my Heartbeat account

πŸ” Diagnosing Your Login Issue

Mobile login requires a one-time password (OTP)
Desktop login requires following a magic link

What to check first (search your inbox!)

  1. If the URL for your community is correct
  2. If you have the correct email address to sign in with
  3. If any of this information is on your spam/junk inbox

Error Messages

"Unable to verify email"

Typically, this means your onboarding process was not completed, and to fix it, you can use your original invite link again to finish setting up your account.

 

"Check your invitation link"

This occurs when an email not listed as a community member tries to log in. If you are sure you have signed up for a specific community and still see this message, please contact the community Admin to confirm your login information.

Not receiving a magic link or OTP code

If you're not receiving login emails or magic links, please ensure Heartbeat is added to your contacts list and that your email provider is not filtering out these messages. 

OTP codes are sent automatically and are only valid for a short period of timeβ€”if it's been more than 10 minutes since you first requested them, you will see an "invalid code" message and will need to request a new one.

 

Stuck in a login loop or only seeing a blank page

If you experience blank pages or endless login loops, this may be due to a browser plugin preventing Heartbeat from loading properly. To verify this, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into Heartbeat through a separate browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
  2. Use incognito/private browsing mode
  3. Copy the magic link/OTP code into this incognito window

If you are able to log back in without issues, we recommend disabling any extensions that may be affecting your experience.
