Heartbeat uses passwordless login system for all its users. When you first visit your community, you will be prompted to enter your email address. After that, you will receive a code that you can use to log in to Heartbeat.
Once you have logged in, your account will remain active for 60 days. Every time you visit the platform, the timer will reset. Therefore, if you visit Heartbeat at least once every 2 months, you won't have to log in again.
Passwordless login does a few things for us:
No passwords == lower friction for new users
Longer timers for your login token (60 days) while still staying secure
More secure since you're not re-using a previous password
