Learn how to set up payment related notifications for admins in your community.

This article will help you set up payment-related notifications for admins in your community.

If you're using Heartbeat Payments, our integration with Stripe will require you to set up notifications for payment related activities in your Stripe Dashboard. There are some commonly requested notifications that are not available in Stripe's platform, but we've provided automated workarounds that will help you set them up using Zapier.

Select one of the toggles below to learn how to set each notification up.


Set up email notifications for Successful Payments in Stripe

To get started turning on notifications for successful payments in Stripe, go to your Communication Preferences settings page on your Heartbeat-managed Stripe account.

You should see the following Stripe page. Toggle ON the Successful payments option in the notifications table and check the Email box.

You'll now receive email notifications to your Stripe account email for every successful payment. You may also consider toggling ON dispute and fraudulent payment email notifications here.


Set up email notifications for new Stripe customers

Stripe does not have a core setting to send email notifications for new customers. However, you can use automation platforms, like Zapier, to build a notification system for each new customer in Stripe.

To get started on Zapier, follow this link and click "Try this template" to set up the following automation:

Once you activate this automation, you will receive automated emails from Zapier every time you get a new customer in Stripe.


Set up email notifications for cancellations

Stripe does not have a core setting to send email notifications for subscription cancelations. However, you can use automation platforms, like Zapier, to build a notification system for each canceled subscription in Stripe.

To get started on Zapier, follow this link and click "Try this template" to set up the following automation:

Once you activate this automation, you will receive automated emails from Zapier every time you a customer cancels their subscription in Stripe.
