Heartbeat now allows members to block users and report content within the community. This guide explains how these features work and how admins can manage reported members effectively.
Blocking Members
Blocking is now an option for all community members, except admins and moderators, who cannot be blocked. To block a user, click the shield icon next to their profile. A pop-up will appear—click Block to confirm. If you later decide to unblock them, click the shield icon again and select Unblock to reverse the action.
Blocking a community member means you will no longer receive messages or calls from them. Additionally, their posts, comments, and chat messages will no longer be visible. If you both are on the same channel, their content will be hidden.
If a blocked member attempts to send a direct message, they will receive a notification stating, “This member has blocked you.”
To see everyone that you blocked, members can go into their Account Settings > Blocked Users.
Reporting Posts
When a member reports a post, a notification is sent to the community admin’s email, including details of the reported message and the reason for the report. The community admin is responsible for reviewing the report and taking appropriate action.
