Groups Explorer (Community Overview)

Welcome to Heartbeat's new Groups Explorer! In this article, we'll cover how to use the groups explorer to preview and manage access to your community's resources. Read on to learn more.

Where to Find the Groups Explorer

To find the groups explorer, you need to click on your profile icon in the bottom left of the community, then click on Manage Groups (Settings > Manage Groups).

Groups Overview

Once you've created your groups and set them up, you can use the groups explorer to see what each group has access to. To do this, all you need to do is click on the Groups Overview button to see all of the channels, documents, courses, and events in your community. You can hover over different pieces of the community to see what each group has access to.

Preview Access

You can preview access and make sure that the group has access to everything you want them to have. You can click the edit buttons and it'll take you to the settings page for the document, channel, course, or event.

Upsells

You can also use the group explorer to set up upsells, like a premium course. Content that has a paywall for a user will appear with a lock icon on the community explorer.
