Resetting your Stripe connection disconnects your Stripe account from Heartbeat, so you can stop taking payments or connect a different account. It permanently deletes all of your Offers and Waitlists.
Moving to a new Stripe account and want to keep your Offers? Don't reset. Contact support and follow Moving Your Community to a New Stripe Account instead.
How to: Settings > Revenue > Settings
Before you reset
The reset is blocked until these are cleared. Work through them in this order:
- Cancel active subscriptions. Go to Settings > Revenue > Offers and open each Offer. Next to each member with an active subscription, open the 3-dot menu, select Cancel and choose Cancel Immediately. Free trials and subscriptions set to Cancel at Period End still count as active.
- Archive or delete every Offer in Settings > Revenue > Offers. Archive only appears on Offers that have had a purchase, and the rest show Delete. If you're asked, choose Delete Offer rather than Delete Offer & Groups, so members keep the Access Groups and Courses those Groups give them.
- Clear upcoming paid Events. An upcoming Event with a paid ticket blocks the reset until it starts. Delete the Event or wait until it has begun.
If anything is left, the reset shows an error naming it, for example "Your Stripe account can't be disconnected because you currently have active offers".
How to reset your Stripe connection
- Go to Settings > Revenue > Settings.
- Open the ••• menu and select Reset Stripe Connection.
- Select Reset to confirm.
What resetting deletes
- All Offers and Waitlists, including archived ones. They can't be restored.
- Your members' purchase history in Heartbeat. Your records in Stripe aren't affected.
- The payment step on your Sign Up Links. The links keep working, so anyone who uses one joins for free until you add a new Offer to it or delete it.
Your Groups, Courses and members aren't affected, and members stay in the Groups they're in.
Resetting doesn't close your Stripe account. To close it, follow Stripe's guide to closing an account. To take payments again later, connect a Stripe account and create new Offers. Connecting from Heartbeat always creates a new Stripe account, and your promo codes stay in the old one, so recreate them too.
